GreenStar Network is controlled by a computing and energy management middleware, including two layers:
A resource provides a level of abstraction for a device and exposes the functionality of the device to other resources and services. Each resource has an engine which communicates with the device to send commands and get information back.
GSN middleware Services are managing GSN resources and exposing high level functionalities as services. They include Cloud Services, Network Services and Facility Services.
These services are responsible for control and management of compute resources such as clouds, hosts, virtual machines, and storage. The serevices handle all users’ virtual machines and offers an integrated view of all hosts (servers) and VMs available in the different GSN nodes or cloud domains.
These services are responsible for control and management of Facility resources, PDU resources, Climate resources and Power Source resources.
These services are responsible for control and management of network resources. It provides network management function to Cloud Services and Controller Services.
